1) Download the backup client from our downloads page. Choose to run the installer after downloading.
2) Accept the terms and conditions to begin the installation.
3) You will be prompted to choose an installation type. We would recommend a service as that will allow scheduled backup jobs to run regardless of whether you are logged on or not. However you can select as an Application if you would like.
4) If you chose to run the application as a service you can choose the logon details to use for the new service.
5) You can change the customer details next. Enter a unique identifier for your StoreGrid ID. We recommend an email address or the FQDN of your machine. Enter the Company name given to you by us when you register your account. If you are installing a 30 day trial then leave the Customer Name as Trial Customer
6) You can now override the default installation location if you want to.
7) Here you can change the defaults ports used to access the online backup client. We would suggest leaving these at their default values, though you can change them if the ports mentioned are already in use. You can also change the default logon account and password.
8) Next you can change the Windows program group which will be used to identify the icons on the Start menu.

10) Once the installation is complete you will see an icon on your desktop. Open this to load the web based interface in your browser and logon using the default username and password shown.
You are now ready to start backing up.
