G2 Support is a small Brighton based company providing network support and server management services to companies across the UK. We have built a good reputation with our clients by working closely with them and providing solutions to them.
Job Description:
You’ll be assisting in the day to day running of the support services providing first line support and onsite services to our range of clients. You’ll need to have excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills in order to handle a wide range of clients and demands.
Day to day tasks will be varied ranging but focusing on end user support, server maintenance, writing documentation and blogging, onsite visits, hardware installation and ticket management.
Skills Range:
A clear understanding and awareness of desktop technologies is required as the majority of queries will be based around users and their software. You must have a thorough understanding of all versions of Windows as well as major software such as Microsoft Office. We also support Apple hardware and so an understanding of the Apple range and in particular OS X is also required.
An exposure to Windows Server technologies is also essential, including Exchange 2003 & 2007, Windows 2003 & 2008, Terminal Services and Active Directory Services. Setups are very specific to our clients so training will be given, but an understanding and familiarity of these technologies is essential.
Exposure to Autotask PSA and Kaseya would be preferred as these are used internally by us and form the basis for our range of services.
You must have a good understanding of general networking principles and protocols, routers and firewalls and be able to diagnose basic networking issues using standard tools.
You will need excellent customer facing skills, strong organisation and problem-solving abilities. You will be required to visit clients on a regular basis so you have to be presentable and polite. You will also be required to manage jobs assigned to you and so good time management is vital as is the ability to work on your own as well as part of a close team.
A valid passport and a clean driving licence are also required.

Around £20,000 depending on experience
Hours:
Our offices are open from 9 to 5:30 Monday to Friday. After/before hours work does come up and this will be handled on a case by case basis.
